Dirty cheap Chinese 3K rated Carbon bike parts is a thing.
Too tempting to buy and put on your bike, because it is cheap.
But is it good?
The internet couldn’t tell me if a 3K Carbon thing is good, the eBay / AliExpress Sellers said they were good and also their review bots said it was good. So must be good then!
I know for a fact when Carbon hits a solid object with a little bit of speed and weight behind it, Carbon breaks.
Just check out the Chinese 3K rated Carbon bar on my old bike.

I put that carbon bar on because it cost like $25 NZD. (Stupid money) Plus I overheard that the carbon handlebars can absorb some vibration because they flex a bit to absorb as your shocks do. Yet I didn’t notice any difference. So I left it on there to look cool.
What I did find is that the front end of (the now dead bike) was lighter, so weight reduction was achieved.
My next Carbon recent acquisition is a Seat Post, not a new one. It has SWorks written on it so I figured it wasn’t cheap and nasty, to begin with. No sign of 3K rating (whatever that really actually meant)
I sort of figure the carbon seat post has come off a really nice bike (dead give away was SWorks) because they likely put a dropper post in. (Dropper posts are another – all the rage, right now. But not for me)
